Nathan Strausse's TIED plays in Germany Traum-Kino Festival

Nathan Strausse's short film TIED played to a great response in Germany. Here's a write up on the work by Dominique Von Sternenberg:

Short Film (USA/2008) by Nathan Strausse

Nathan Strausse: "I am a fetish and erotic artist and work as a director and photographer most often in the erotic, fetish and fashion, in that order. I work with video and photos. My pictures I would discover the sexual fascination call. It is a journey through a "hyper-real" world of sensual secrets and fantasies. My technique is based on an unorthodox use of light, depth, shape and color. The human body can you press the shutter button to take a new look. The emotional message of my photos may not be the first to open up views. While the picture they developed is limited by structure, lines, context and symbolism even encouraged. "

The search for the sensual secrets and fantasies of eroticism, of the ostriches was speaking in which, in itself is very unspectacular, short film, "Tied" (tied) to feel very much. There are in the five minutes to see no more than a young woman, blindfolded, shackled to a bed and there is obviously excited by this situation and it enjoys. The attempt to stimulate themselves in this situation is through the ropes but (intentionally) difficult but after some tugging at the restraint not entirely impossible.

The film recounts his own sensual effect by the very quiet images that unfold before the eye of the beholder, and a very unusual soundtrack, which consists mainly of a very low buzzing sound. Whether this is the pulsation of the desire of the young woman, the excitement of a viewer or your own heartbeat is left to the imagination of the viewer. As a whole will be felt through the combination of picture and sound but extremely intense conveys the feelings of both the active and the passive part of such Bondageszene. This was also the feedback of the only couple in the audience after the presentation about the expression. The young woman could identify with the actress just as good as they could imagine, watching from a quasi-voyeuristic perspective of a handcuffed man in a similar situation.

Nathan Strauss is for me one of the discoveries of this fetish film festivals, which I shall look at the opportunity even further.
